What distinguishes PERCo turnstiles?

Operation as part of ACS and in a stand-alone mode

Turnstiles can operate as stand-alone devices and as part of access control systems.

Extended delivery set

The delivery set includes a control unit or a control board, which is integrated into the post, as well as a remote control panel.

Clear indication

PERCo turnstiles display clear light indication of passage permission/denial.

Outdoor use

Full height turnstiles, as well as a number of tripod and box tripod turnstiles, are weatherproof and can be used outdoors (under shelter).

Passage control in both directions

The operation mode — passage permission or passage denial — can be set independently for each passage direction.

Safe voltage

PERCo turnstiles have low power consumption and human-safe operating voltage of 12 or 24 V.

Passage zone formation

A passage zone is formed by installing railings made in the same design as turnstiles and gates. Adjustable coupling fittings are applied to join railing sections at a specific angle and to model any required configurations. Emergencies can be dealt with using Anti-Panic rotary sections and fast removable railing sections.

Availability of motorized turnstiles

A built-in motor drive ensures smooth operation of swing and sliding panels of speed gates as well as smooth turn of tripod barrier arms and rotor panels of full height turnstiles.

Why choose PERCo?

Quality and reliability
PERCo equipment has been manufactured since 1988 and is highly reliable, which has been proved by tens of thousands of installations in 95 countries worldwide.
5 years warranty
Certified service centers perform warranty and post-warranty maintenance of PERCo equipment in all Russian regions, as well as in Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Wide selection of models
PERCo produces a wide model range of blocking devices that meet diverse requirements for appearance, dimensions, and passage-blocking coverage.
Operation at various facilities
Being installed at checkpoints, turnstiles control access to industrial enterprises, government agencies, schools, banks, hospitals, universities, sports, entertainment, and other facilities.

Application in ACS

To be applied as part of access control systems, the turnstiles and gates are equipped with identification and verification devices and connected to a controller.

Special posts and brackets simplify the installation of additional equipment, such as readers, card capture readers for collecting visitor passes, barcode scanners, and face recognition terminals, which maintains the aesthetic appearance of a checkpoint.

Another convenient solution is to use turnstile models with built-in additional equipment.

Blocking devices functioning as part of an access control system can also automate time and attendance recording.

Turnstile operation modes

The modes are set via a remote control panel or by command from the system:

  • single passage in one direction;
  • free passage in one direction;
  • single passage in both directions;
  • free passage in both directions;
  • closed (denial of passage in both directions);
  • lock-chamber mode (two-stage mode with a stop to check the entering person) for full height models.

What one needs to know

What if there is an emergency?

An emergency exit can be planned if turnstiles are combined with gates or fast removable railings.

Upon an emergency unblocking signal or in case of power loss, the swing panels of speed gates and swing gates get unlocked, and the barrier arms of tripod turnstiles drop. Turnstile models without the automatic Anti-Panic function are unlocked with a key.

What devices are compatible with turnstiles?
You can optionally connect the following devices to a turnstile:
  • remote indicators showing the authorized passage direction;
  • a wireless remote control;
  • an emergency unblocking device;
  • an intrusion detector with a siren.
How many turnstiles are needed?
The number of turnstiles for a checkpoint is calculated based on the throughput rate of a particular model. It amounts to 1 turnstile per 1000 persons for speed gates with a throughput rate of 60 persons/min, 1 turnstile per 500 persons for tripod turnstiles with a throughput rate of 30 persons/min, and 1 turnstile per 350-400 persons for rotor turnstiles with a rate of 20-25 persons/min.
